Sinking Creek Photos

I know that first impressions are all-important.  My first impression was wonderful - turkeys, deer, frogs, fish, snails.  But I didn't bring a camera.  Here's a second impression, when I brought family and friends to tour the property.  (And they brought a camera.)

Sinking Creek.
This is Sinking Creek, the big creek which forms much of the northwestern
boundary of the property.  Here it looks muddy because it rained the day before, but when I came for my first visit the creek was very clear.

Crossing the creek.
Here's Mom, Sophie, and her friend crossing Sinking Creek.  You can see that the bank is very high.
Barn.
Here's the barn - very large.  As you can see, there are a few boards missing (note the light shining through on the left side.)
Approaching the house.
Here we are pushing through the brambles to get to the house.  I know I said that the house looked unsalvageable, but I'm wondering a bit now.  Note the straight roof line.
Drawing of the house.
A drawing of the house.

Here's the chimney.

And a window.

Interior.
The interior of the house.  Despite the wallpaper dripping from the walls and ceiling, it actually didn't look so bad.  The floor was pretty good.  Who knows if it would fall down around my ears though.
