Sinking Creek is a 58 acre tract
of land which I purchased in late 2003 with my friend Melissa and my sister and
sister-in-law Jenny and Swati. I hope to build a tiny house there eventually. I will work up to having a nearly self-sufficient farm, leaving the woods as wildlife habitat. Already, there are areas of relatively mature forest on the property, spared from logging by the difficulty of access. On the map to the left, most of the areas shown in white (as open areas) have now grown up into young forest. Around the smaller creek can be found extensive swamps with cattails and willows. The floodplain of the larger creek (Sinking Creek) is rich in animal and plant life. |
